Strawberry Picking

On Saturday, we met Andrew's mom, Nana, at Butler's Orchard to pick some strawberries.

We arrived with perfect timing, as always (except that we are always late, but it worked out in our favor this time).  They opened a new field just as we were arriving and we were the first ones to start picking on it.

Madeline loved her little basket and carried it around the whole time.

Madeline had to make sure they tasted alright.

Oliver got his first taste as well.  But, not on purpose.  (He's a fast little guy).

Tasting a few more.

We came home with about 10 pounds of strawberries.  Most of them are in the freezer for smoothies.  But, we have had some with dinner and some are waiting (in a lot of sugar) for some shortcake to be made.  mmmmmm

Such cute pictures..and Madelyn is such a big girl to leave her pacifier at home! We are in the process (of VERY slowly) getting rid of Joey's pacifier at night. It involves cutting it a little bit every night and talking about how it is a "wittle bwoken". It's been weally bwoken for a long time now. I'm hoping there isn't anything left by Thursday. ;-)
