Madeline's Laugh

Sorry to post another video of Madeline laughing. But, it is just the greatest thing (to us at least). The funny thing is that I played this game with her for about 5 minutes before Andrew did and she never laughed at me. But, as soon as Andrew did it, she started cracking up. By the way, have you guys ever watched any of the other laughing babies on YouTube. It makes me laugh so hard that I am crying. What is it about a baby's laugh? It could turn any horrible day into a great one.

Rolling Over

So Madeline finally rolled over for the camera. I almost missed it. (We were watching the HGTV Dream Home giveaway. I was secretly waiting for them to knock on my door even though I forgot to enter the contest in the first place :)) That is why she looks like she is starting half way over. But, I promise I didn't help her. She first rolled over when she was 9 1/2 weeks old. But, she still doesn't consistantly roll over. Maybe once a week or so.

Happy Birthday Papa Paul!

Sunday was not only Easter, but it was also Papa Paul's (Andrew's Dad) birthday. I am sorry that we were out of town for your birthday. But, we hope you had a wonderful day!

Happy Easter!

We headed to Roanoke this past weekend for Easter. Here are a few pictures from our fabulous weekend.

Madeline got some cool new glasses from her cousin Abby.

Madeline is all ready for church in her Easter dress.

We went to my cousin's house for lunch after church.

Abby and Madeline

We had a wonderful time with family over the holiday. But, more importantly, it was a great weekend to celebrate Jesus' resurrection! And as perfect as Madeline seems right now, we know that she is a sinner like everyone else. So, we pray that Madeline will come to know what Jesus did for her on that cross at an early age. And that she will have an understanding of the true meaning of Easter.

Laughing

Madeline is finally doing a few of her tricks for the camera. So, here she is laughing. So far, she will only laugh for Andrew. But, it still makes me smile and laugh everytime I here her little giggle.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Walking

Papa Paul (Andrew's Dad) discovered one of Madeline's new tricks. She loves to walk! When we tried to walk with her before, we would have to move her whole body side-to-side to make her legs move. Now, she can pick up her feet and walk (as long as someone is holding her up of course.) I'm sorry that the video is sideways. Papa Paul was gone by the time we realized that we had taped it the wrong way. And we can't turn it.:( So, I posted another one below with Andrew.

Getting mad at the exersaucer

Madeline learned how to flip the page on her exersaucer. But, for some reason, I think she wants it to do something else. She seems to get mad at this one part of the exersaucer. It makes her grunt a lot. But, her daddy came to her rescue this time and you can see her smiling at him at the end of the video.

Mad Money

Andrew has been teaching Madeline some investment skills. So, almost every night at 6:00pm they watch Mad Money with Jim Cramer. Personally, I like Jim, but his show can make a person go crazy. I think he may need a little Ritalin or Aderol. I put a picture of Jim below. Yes, he is rolling on the floor... in a pile of money. But, I guess it is never too early to teach your children about money.

Coming Home for Lunch

Andrew came home for lunch today and Madeline just laughed and laughed at him. By the time I got the camera, she was done. (We can never get her new tricks on camera.) But, she still lit up when Andrew talked to her. She loves her daddy so much. I guess she gets bored with me during the day because she isn't that excited to talk to me. It is very sweet to see her loving her daddy though. :)

Three Months Old

Can you believe it? Madeline is already 3 months old. Where does the time go? Not only is she getting older, but she is learning so many new things. She is getting pretty good at grabbing and holding things. We have a problem now with her making out with all her stuffed animals. As soon as she can grab them, they go straight into her mouth. :)

Here she is demonstrating her grabbing/holding skills.

She also loves TV. She loves to see all the colors and movement on it. So here we are chilling out on the couch and watching a little TV.

She studies things very intently. She is very observant of the world around her. She always wants to sit up so she can see what's going on.

Some other things she is doing:
She sleeps pretty well. Last night she did an 8 1/2 hour stretch. I had to give her her pacifier a couple times. But, I didn't have to feed her. She still needs to be swaddled. I am not sure when that will end. I need to go buy our third swaddler because the velcro is wearing out again and she can escape it. She smiles all the time. (It is big, gummy and really cute:)) Especially when her dad plays his two games with her, "blast off" and "timber". (You can ask Andrew for a demonstration if you want.) She is on the verge of giggling. She has rolled from her stomach to her back 5 or 6 times. Unfortunately, she will never do it for the camera. She has rolled from her back to her stomach twice. But she was on a small foam mat that helped her get all the way over. She is pretty good at getting up on her side though. She loves to suck on her fists and can sometimes get both of them in her mouth at the same time. She still loves her bath time and is starting to splash a little in the water. She is talking a lot as well. She can say a very expressive "oouh" and she is throwing in a few consonants like "g" and "m". The other night, she talked to me for about 10 minutes while she was supposed to be going to sleep :) It is so much fun to watch her learn. One day she won't be able to do something and then the next day she can. I am having a blast being a stay at home mom. I wouldn't trade it for anything!
