Myrtle Beach

I am extremely behind on blogging. We have been a little busy around here and we are getting ready to go to Michigan. So, I will have even more to blog about when we get home. But, in the mean time, here are some pictures of how we spent our days at the beach back in July!

Madeline got a new chair, just her size, an Elmo towel and loved to eat "pop-pops" (lolipops) at the beach.

The water was so much fun and pretty clear this year. We actually saw several sharks. One came right up in the shallow end trying to catch little fish. But, he didn't bother any people. I don't have any pictures of the shark. But, here is a picture of Andrew having fun in the water.

Madeline was not to sure about all the sand. She kept saying, "all dutty" (dirty).

Then, she would have to run to the water and wash her hands.

Every morning, she would have to get used to the sand and waves all over again. Daddy, Pawpaw and Uncle Nathaniel helped her to get used to the water each day by digging little pools for her to play in. She loved them!

Once she was used to the water and sand, she had a great time!

She even rode on the float a little bit and went out into the big waves with me.

It was so relaxing to be at the beach. We set up our umbrellas in the morning and just sat, read or played with Madeline all day long.

I don't have any pictures of it, but some days Madeline took her nap in our wagon. She loved the wagon and wanted Gigi and Pawpaw to take her for a ride in it everyday. So, we laid out several towels to make it soft and she would lay down in it until she fell asleep. She was such a good girl and slept 100 million times better than last year at the beach!

We hung out at the pool a little bit.

Madeline liked to chill out with her Elmo towel.
Coming up... some Myrtle Beach night life!
