14 Months Old
(I have to mention that I "stole" this picture from my mom's blog. Good picture, mom!) Sorry for my lack of posting. I had this all ready to work on last week and then Madeline got a bad cold with a fever and was very sick. And the rest of the week was very busy. (More posts to come.)
Anyways, Madeline turned 14 months old last Sunday. Her personality just keeps blossoming. She is such a fun little girl. She is so giggly, adventurous and sweet.
As soon as she is done with her bath, she has to brush her teeth.
She really loves her baby that she got for Christmas. She will hug her, cover her with a blanket and give her milk to drink. (Madeline will actually give milk to anything that has a mouth including any stuffed animal and any character in a book.)
Besides this past week, Madeline has been a very good eater. She is not too picky, but she definitely has her favorites. Right now her favorite things seem to be pizza, green beans, peas, noodles, PB and J and grapes. She is drinking her milk so much better than in the past. She will drink 2 -3 sippy cups of milk a day. Her breakfast usually consists of cereal (mixed with whipping cream or whole milk), fruit and eggs. She usually eats some PB and J (or leftovers) for lunch along with a fruit and vegetable. For dinner, she will usually eat whatever we are eating. Here she is eating the mini tacos that daddy made for her out of his tacos.
Madeline really likes Elmo (as most little kids do). She will ask for "MoMo" several times a day. She also, somehow (I think Andrew found them), got introduced to The Wiggles. So, we watch them on Youtube a lot. She has started dancing to them as well. She will do the motions for several of their songs including "Hot Potato" and "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" (She really only touches her head for that one).
She plays very nicely with her toys. Her favorites right now are her nesting cups, Noah's Ark, ball pit and all stuffed animals. She also likes for us to lay a big blanket on the floor so she can play on it. Another favorite game right now is chase. She loves for us to chase her and scare her. She also loves to "sneak" up on us and scare us. It makes her laugh a lot. She also likes to play with some of the little girls in our bible study.

Madeline has been attempting to say many things. But, she doesn't have any more new words under her belt. She mostly says the beginning sounds of words. She does communicate pretty effectively through signing or talking. She clearly understands most things that we say to her. She is certainly testing her limits lately on what she wants to obey and not obey. She gets a big smile or even starts laughing when she gets close to doing something she isn't supposed to do.
Madeline is down to one nap now. She usually goes down around 12 or 1 and sleeps for about 3 hours. Her bedtime at night is around 7:30 and she will sleep until about 8am.
Madeline is still a complete joy. She just melts our hearts. Every month has been my favorite because I get to know her more and more. And it is so much fun to watch her learn and grow right before our eyes. She is constantly amazing us with what she can do.

Loved Madeline's update!! She is getting to be such a toddler! I would love to know how you got her eating PB&J. I don't know if I haven't tried hard enough with the PB or what. I've tried spreading it thin, tried crackers, bread, etc. He always seems to be at that point where (I think you said M was a few months ago, and wanted to spit it out) he just wants it out of his mouth. It actually is the only food he'll cry about. I don't know if I'm not doing something right or if I should just give up. Any advice??
