Christmas Day

We started Christmas morning off by reading the Christmas story in Luke 2. Mom didn't think it was quite the same reading it from an IPod.
Then we started opening presents. Madeline has improved greatly on her present-opening skills since her birthday. She figured out how to rip the paper off.

She got a cool tunnel to play in. Of course, it is fun for other people to play in as well.

She got a puzzle.

She also got a ball pit.

We have been having a lot of fun with it!

Granny brought out her elephant and Madeline kept doing the sign for elephant.

She loved him.

"Nathaniel bootcamp" apparently worked. Since she was pretty mean to Nathaniel during Thanksgiving, we have been looking at pictures of Nathaniel and clapping and saying, "yeah!". We have also talked to Nathaniel on Skype. So, when she saw him at Christmas time, she clapped her hands and smiled at him. They had a lot more fun this time.

And of course, she never had any problems with Pawpaw. :)

After we opened presents, my mom made a delicious lunch for us and both sets of grandparents.

After dinner, we played a game of Apples to Apples and then played a little Wii Fit. We enjoyed all the family time on Christmas Day.

Ok so we were both in Roanoke! We totally should have hung out! I know we both were probably busy with holidays but we need to plan better next time! Love the ball pit!

Our ball pit barely lasted a year, but we saved all the balls and put them in an inflatable pool now (a little low budget, but Will loves it) Will had a great time with the pit while it lasted, though! I love your baby's blonde hair-sooooo cute!
