soccer
The difference in Madeline from her first soccer class to now is incredible. For the first 2 classes, I did most of the class with her because she couldn't do it by herself. It was scary and she was so shy. But, now when we go to class, she barely even says bye to me and heads out on the field to get ready for soccer. They always start the class with stretching and a little warm up.
And then every week they work on a different skill. The first few classes were dribbling, then they moved on to trapping, and now they are working on kicking. They do so many fun games and activities. No wonder Madeline loves it so much.
She kicked her ball right into the goal.
There is one other girl in her class. Madeline picked up her ball and moved it right next to the other girl while they were waiting for instructions from Coach Jill. It was pretty cute. We also found out last week that Andrew and her daddy both work at the same place. Small world.
Showing off their super duper fast shoes.
They needed them so they could play catch the coach. This is usually the last game of the class.
Coach Jill eventually gets caught.
They always end class with a high five...
and hug from Coach Jill. I don't know if it is this class or that she is just maturing. But, Madeline has grown so much over the past few months. She is happy to talk to strangers, doesn't cry when we leave her and certainly looks forward to her soccer class each week. It's been fun to see her maturing.
And during Madeline's class, Oliver usually eats whatever snack we have on hand, practices his dribbling skills, takes all the corner flags down and plays with the extra cones that Coach jill brings along. It's fun for the whole family!
